Aw, thanks!

All the love at the announcement of our impending nuptials has been lovely.  He did get down on one knee (exactly one year to the minute after we first met – yes, really. 11:11am), I did cry, I did interrupt him twice before getting to the end and the final YES.  The boys were there as well, with Smacky plowing through his breakfast and Bug saying, “Mommy? Mommy? Mommy? Did you see that motorcycle? Daddy? Hey, Dad?  Dad. Did you see that fire truck?  Dad? Mommy?”  T then wandered around the patio and informed the other diners that they were present at A Moment and we’d just gotten engaged.  A work friend of T’s happened to be at the restaurant and came to offer congratulations, and took that picture for us.  It was also fitting that I wore my new hat, since it was the pic of me wearing my SIL’s version of that hat that I used for my eHarmony profile, and was the first pic he ever saw of me.

The stats on the hat:
Crocheted Brimmed Hat by Sue Norad
Patons Classic Wool in Natural, about 2/3 of a skein
Hook size I (Tammy’s hat, above, was hooked on size H, and was a bit snug for me)
March 2 to March 6

Another FO!
I finished the Corrugator scarf, finally. It was started to be a Christmas present for T’s dad, but I didn’t get it done, so I stole the one from the OFA box, and this is its replacement. I knitted to the end of the third (I think) ball, and when I say the end, I mean The End.

I was thisclose.

The stats on the scarf:
Corrugator, by Paula Smith
Elann Incense in Brick, overdyed with four packets of black cherry and one cherry koolaid cuz I can’t leave well enough alone.
Size 8 needles.

Sweet story…I love it! Especially love that the boys were there but just continued on with the morning the same as ever and that T announced it to everyone there. 🙂

The color on the scarf is great. I think the idea to overdye was good!
